Report: UW Huskies land point guard in transfer portal

The UW Huskies appear to have found their new point guard.

San Francisco leading scorer Ryan Beasley has committed to the Huskies through the transfer portal, according to a report from On3’s Pete Nakos on Monday.

Former Gonzaga, EWU sharpshooter transferring to UW Huskies

Beasley was a second-team All-West Coast Conference selection as a junior this past season at USF, where he led the Dons to a 17-16 record. He averaged 13.6 points, 4.0 assists and 1.2 steals per game, leading USF in all three categories. He shot 32.7% from 3-point range and added 3.4 rebounds per contest.

A native of San Ramon, California, Beasley averaged 7.8 points per game as the WCC Freshman of the Year in 2023-24 and 9.0 points per game as a sophomore in 2024-25.

The 5-foot-11, 180-pound Beasley is the third incoming transfer for Danny Sprinkle’s UW program. The Huskies also added Davidson transfer guard Parker Friedrichsen and Gonzaga transfer guard Steele Venters.

According to 247Sports, six players from UW’s 2025-26 team have either transferred to other programs or entered their name into the transfer portal.

The NCAA’s new 15-day window to enter the transfer portal closes Tuesday, but there’s no deadline for players to commit to schools.
