The UW Huskies landed a commitment from 2027 four-star quarterback recruit Blake Roskopf, according to a report from On3.com’s Hayes Fawcett on Tuesday.

Roskopf, a 6-foot-5, 235-pound signal caller Goodyear, Ariz., is the No. 12 quarterback in 247Sports’ composite rankings for the 2027 high school class. According to Fawcett, Roskopf chose the Huskies over North Carolina, UCLA and Mississippi State.
“It was a tough decision, but in the end I think UW has the best opportunity for me to be successful and to be developed throughout the next four years,” Roskopf told 247Sports. “I can’t wait to get this thing rolling.”
Roskopf is the latest addition to a strong 2027 recruiting class for UW head coach Jedd Fisch. The Huskies’ 2027 class, which currently has 11 commits, is now up to No. 6 in 247Sports’ program rankings.
One of Roskopf’s teammates at Desert Edge High School – four-star wide receiver Zerek Sidney – committed to UW on Jan. 29.
As a junior last fall, Roskopf led Desert Edge to an 11-1 record and the Arizona 5A state quarterfinals. He completed 66.1% of his passes for 2,815 yards, 37 touchdowns and eight interceptions.
In his scouting report, 247Sports’ Gabe Brooks described Roskopf as a “big-framed distributor who gets the ball out accurately to multiple levels.” Brooks added that Roskopf shows “encouraging velocity,” while also demonstrating “touch nuance when attacking the deeper third” of the field.
