What stood out in Seahawks’ preseason loss to Titans
Here's a look at the injuries, the QB play and several players who shined in Seattle's second preseason game.

Clark expected to miss ‘multiple months’ | Game recap
Here’s a closer look at what stood out from the contest.
Injuries are piling up
For the most part, the Seahawks were blessed with good health during their run to a Super Bowl title last season. The same can’t be said so far in 2026.
Rookie safety and second-round draft pick Bud Clark was carted off the field with an ankle injury Sunday night and is expected to be sidelined “multiple months,” head coach Mike Macdonald said. That’s a blow to Seattle’s defense, as Clark had been expected to rotate in as a potential third traditional safety behind starters Julian Love and Ty Okada.
Backup offensive lineman Mason Richman also sustained an apparent “long-term injury” in the game, Macdonald said. That hurts Seattle’s O-line depth, given Richman’s ability to play guard, tackle and center.

The injuries to Clark and Richman came after the Seahawks lost wide receiver Jake Bobo to a season-ending knee injury in their joint practice with Tennessee on Friday.
“We’ve had three heartbreakers this week, which is tough,” Macdonald said.
The Seahawks also placed fullback Robbie Ouzts on season-ending injured reserve earlier this month.
Lock sharp, but Milroe throws 2 INTs
After an inconsistent performance in last week’s preseason opener, backup quarterback Drew Lock bounced back with a sharp night. Playing the entire first half, Lock completed 12 of 14 passes for 103 yards, a touchdown and no interceptions.
Lock took advantage of a miscommunication by Tennessee’s defense on the opening drive, hitting wide-open tight end Elijah Arroyo for a 36-yard TD pass up the seam. Lock also kept Seattle’s ensuing TD drive alive by scrambling and finishing through contact for a 9-yard gain that moved the chains.

However, it was a rough night for third-string quarterback Jalen Milroe. The second-year QB threw two interceptions and completed just 6 of 11 passes for 52 yards and no TDs. He also took two sacks, including one that came while trying to extend a fourth-and-3 play near midfield.
On the first interception, Milroe tried to hit wide receiver Montorie Foster Jr. over the middle, but was picked off by linebacker Anthony Hill Jr. And in the game’s closing minutes, Milroe escaped the pocket and threw an off-target pass on the run that was picked off by cornerback Derrick Canteen.
Known for his speed and athleticism, Milroe scrambled for a 16-yard gain on his lone run.

Wright races for long TD
Second-year running back Jacardia Wright provided the night’s biggest highlight, bursting through a hole up the middle for a 69-yard touchdown on Seattle’s second drive. He finished with 81 yards on eight carries.

Wright, who went undrafted out of Missouri State in 2025, missed most of last season with a foot injury and had been sidelined for much of training camp. But depending on the injury statuses of fellow running backs Zach Charbonnet and Emanuel Wilson, Wright might have a chance to make Seattle’s initial 53-man roster.
If Charbonnet and Wilson both open the season on the physically unable to perform list, Wright could potentially slot in as the RB3 behind rookie first-round pick Jadarian Price and George Holani.
O’Toole flashes
Second-year edge rusher Connor O’Toole made multiple splash plays and boosted his 53-man roster chances with 1.5 sacks and a tackle for loss.
In the second quarter, O’Toole used a nice move to knife into the backfield and sack backup quarterback Mitch Trubisky. Early in the third quarter, O’Toole and fellow edge rusher Jamie Sheriff were each credited with a half-sack after they collapsed the pocket to take down third-string QB Will Levis. And later on, O’Toole corralled Levis on a read-option keeper for a third-down tackle for loss.
O’Toole’s performance helped Seattle’s edge rushing corps rebound from an underwhelming performance in last week’s preseason opener.

The back-end WR battle
Bobo’s season-ending injury has opened a competition for Seattle’s fifth wide receiver spot. But there wasn’t much that stood out from any of the contenders on Sunday night.
Cody White, who’s likely the favorite for the WR5 job, muffed a punt and had just one catch for 8 yards.
Surprise training camp standout Montorie Foster Jr. had a 24-yard reception and nearly hauled in a diving 27-yard TD catch on a slightly overthrown ball by Lock. But he also committed a false start penalty, which came after he lined up offside last week.

Ricky White III had two catches for 22 yards, but also was flagged for offensive pass interference on a push-off that negated a 30-yard catch-and-run. Rookie sixth-round pick Emmanuel Henderson Jr. added one catch for 7 yards.
There was a notable play on special teams where Henderson, Foster and Cody White swarmed return man Courtney Jackson for a tackle in punt coverage.
Cornerback watch
One of the few question marks on Seattle’s deep and talented roster is the No. 3 cornerback spot, which is up for grabs after Riq Woolen’s departure in free agency.
Noah Igbinoghene and Nehemiah Pritchett are the favorites for the role, but it wasn’t clear that either player pulled in front Sunday night. Igbinoghene initially appeared to force a third-down incompletion with tight coverage on wideout Calvin Ridley, but was flagged for pass interference. Pritchett had a nice play where he flew in to deliver a bit on a wide receiver screen.
Rookie seventh-round picks Andre Fuller and Michael Dansby each added a pass breakup.
Former two-time Pro Bowler Trevon Diggs – who signed with Seattle on a reported one-year, minimum-salary deal last week – didn’t play.
Extra points
• Arroyo finished with two catches for 50 yards and a touchdown.
• Linebacker Chazz Surratt had a highlight-reel play where he chased former No. 1 overall pick Cam Ward from behind and used a full-extension dive to knock the ball out of the Tennessee QB’s hand for a fumble.
• Linebacker Chris Paul Jr. met running back Tyjae Spears at the line of scrimmage for a fourth-and-1 run stop.
• Jason Myers hit a 48-yard field goal, but missed a 44-yarder. He also missed a 48-yard extra-point attempt that was pushed back by a penalty. Both of his misses were wide right.
