The Seattle Seahawks placed Jake Bobo on injured reserve Saturday, ending the fan-favorite wide receiver’s 2026 campaign before it even began.
A look at Seahawks’ top candidates to replace injured WR Bobo
Bobo suffered what head coach Mike Macdonald called a “serious” knee injury during Friday’s joint practice with the Tennessee Titans.
Seattle signed wide receiver Julian Hicks to fill the open roster spot.
Bobo, 28, is his fourth NFL season. The 6-foot-4 wideout has amassed 34 receptions for 323 yards and three TDs in 45 games over his career. He’s also been a key special teams player for the Seahawks with nearly 600 snaps in that phase of the game over the past three seasons.
Hicks, 26, went undrafted out of Albany in 2024 and spent the 2024 season on the Green Bay Packers’ practice squad. He was signed by the Seahawks last week but waived Wednesday when they signed cornerback Trevon Diggs. Hicks has yet to appear in a regular season game during his NFL career.
