Seahawks rookie safety Bud Clark carted off with leg injury

Seattle Seahawks rookie safety Bud Clark was carted off the field after suffering a right leg injury in Sunday night’s preseason game against the Tennessee Titans.

Clark, a second-round draft pick out of TCU, fell to the ground amid a pile of players on a run up the middle on Seattle’s first defensive snap of the game. He remained on the ground for several minutes while being tended to by trainers, who then placed an air cast on his leg. Teammates gathered around to console him before he was carted off.

Clark, who totaled an FBS-leading 15 interceptions over his final four college seasons, was expected to open the season as Seattle’s third traditional safety behind Julian Love and Ty Okada.

Clark’s injury came two days after wide receiver Jake Bobo suffering a season-ending knee injury in Seattle’s joint practice with Tennessee.
