The Seattle Seahawks hosted former two-time Pro Bowl cornerback Trevon Diggs for a tryout on Tuesday, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

Reports update CB Terrion Arnold’s status with Seahawks

Diggs, 27, was a Pro Bowler with the Dallas Cowboys in 2021 and 2022, but battled knee issues over the past three seasons. He was waived by Dallas on Dec. 30, 2025, and claimed by the Green Bay Packers, who released him after he played a combined 34 defensive snaps in their Week 18 and wild-card playoff games.

Diggs’ tryout comes amid the uncertainty over cornerback Terrion Arnold’s timeline and availability.

The Seahawks reached an agreement last Thursday to sign Arnold, who was released by the Detroit Lions earlier this summer after being arrested on eight felony charges in connection to a February robbery and kidnapping in Tampa, Florida.

However, Arnold still remains unsigned. NFL Network reported on Tuesday that the 23-year-old former first-round draft pick will be placed on the NFL commissioner’s exempt list when he signs a contract, meaning he can attend team meetings but wouldn’t be allowed to practice or play in games.

Diggs, a 2020 second-round pick by Dallas, totaled 17 interceptions and 49 pass breakups over his first three seasons with the Cowboys.

The Alabama product was a first-team All-Pro in 2021, when he recorded a league-high 11 interceptions, two pick-sixes and 21 pass breakups. He remains the only NFL player since 1981 with at least 11 interceptions in a season.

Diggs suffered a torn ACL early in 2023 that limited him to just two games that season. He also underwent season-ending knee surgery in December 2024 and another knee procedure in January 2025.

Diggs played just 22 games over the past three seasons, while recording three interceptions and 14 pass breakups. Last year, he didn’t record an interception or pass breakup over a combined nine games with Dallas and Green Bay.

Diggs, who also worked out for the Lions last week, has connections to Seattle’s coaching staff. He played at Alabama while Seahawks defensive backs coach/defensive passing game coordinator Karl Scott was there, and he played under Seattle defensive coordinator Aden Durde in Dallas.

Three-time Pro Bowler Devon Witherspoon and Josh Jobe are entrenched as the Seahawks’ top two cornerbacks, but the depth after that remains a question mark. In particular, the third corner spot is up for grabs after Riq Woolen’s departure in free agency.

Third-year pro Nehemiah Pritchett and free agent addition Noah Igbinoghene currently appear to be the leading candidates for the CB3 role. Rookie third-round pick Julian Neal also was expected to factor in, but he’s missed most of training camp with an injury.
