With HBO’s “Hard Knocks” around the Seattle Seahawks, a pretty special moment was caught on camera this weekend.

Seahawks CB Devon Witherspoon says lucrative contract won’t change him

In a teaser clip shared Tuesday morning by ESPN senior NFL insider Adam Schefter, “Hard Knocks” followed cornerback Devon Witherspoon into the Seahawks’ locker room Saturday after news broke that he had agreed to a four-year, $132 million extension, a record deal for his position.

“It’s a good day today. It’s a great day today,” Witherspoon says as he walks from the parking lot toward the locker room.

Once inside, Witherspoon makes the rounds while being embraced by teammates. One Seahawk can be heard exclaiming, “Million dollar man!” And eventually, the entrance music of WWE’s Shane McMahon – appropriately titled “Here Comes the Money” – blares from some speakers.

‘It’s a win-win’ – Seahawks, Witherspoon make record-setting deal official

A Pro Bowler in each of his three seasons since being drafted by the Seahawks, Witherspoon will presumably be a featured storyline on the third episode of the Seahawks’ season of “Hard Knocks,” which will air at 6 p.m. Tuesday night on HBO Max and 9 p.m. on HBO here on the west coast.
