Right guard Anthony Bradford is now set to miss the Seattle Seahawks’ Week 2 matchup with the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday.
How Cardinals’ defense has taken page from Seahawks
The Seahawks downgraded Bradford (knee, hip) to out on Saturday afternoon. The fourth-year offensive lineman was listed as questionable on the team’s final injury report Friday after he did not practice. He started all 20 games including the playoffs at right guard for Seattle last season.
Head coach Mike Macdonald on Friday said third-year pro Christian Haynes would start if Bradford was out. Haynes, a third-round pick in the 2024 draft, is set to make his first career start. He played 167 offensive snaps as a rookie, but just 32 last season.

In addition to downgrading Bradford’s status, the Seahawks elevated safety Rodney Thomas II for a second straight week. Thomas made the start in place of injured safety Ty Okada during last week’s 13-10 win over the New England Patriots and had four tackles and a pass breakup that led to an Nehemiah Pritchett’s fourth-quarter interception.
Okada (hamstring) was ruled out Friday for the matchup against Arizona. Safety Nick Emmanwori (ankle, hip) is also questionable.
