Per the report, the incoming ownership group led by Vinod and Neeru Khosla are talking to Sequoia Capital managing partner Mark Stevens, the private equity firm Sixth Street Partners, Carlyle Group Inc. and Dynasty Equity Partners Management about potential joining ownership. Bloomberg credited “people familiar with the matter” for the information in its article.

Stevens is worth $11.2 million and has an ownership stake in the NBA’s Golden State Warriors.

Sixth Street has stakes in the NBA’s San Antonio Spurs and Boston Celtics, MLB’s San Francisco Giants and NFL’s New England Patriots.

Carlyle Group Inc. bought a stake of the National Women’s Soccer League’s Seattle Reign in 2024, while Dynasty has a stake in Liverpool FC.

The Paul G. Allen Estate, led by team chair Jody Allen, agreed earlier this month to sell the Seahawks to the Khosla group for the record figure of $9.612 billion.
