Seattle Seahawks Preview: Strengths, weaknesses and more
Offensive guard Anthony Bradford was a full participant in Monday’s practice after being limited with a knee injury Sunday.
The rest of Seattle’s injury report was the same Monday as on Sunday, including safety Ty Okada (hamstring) as the lone player to not practice. Second-year safety Nick Emmanwori remained limited as he works his way back from offseason ankle surgery.
“Nick had his probably most work in the last couple days,” Seahawks coach Mike Macdonald said in a press conference Monday. “Looks great.”
Also limited for the Seahawks on Monday were wide receiver Tory Horton (hamstring) and offensive lineman Josh Jones (knee).
In addition to Bradford, tight end AJ Barner (oblique), cornerback Julian Neal (quadricep) and running back Emanuel Wilson (hamstring) were full participants.
Latest on Zach Charbonnet
Macdonald provided an update on running back Zach Charbonnet, who will miss at least the first four weeks of the season on the physically unable to perform (PUP) list. Charbonnet tore his ACL in Seattle’s division round playoff win over the San Francisco 49ers in January and underwent subsequent surgery.
“Zach’s doing awesome,” Macdonald said. “… He has a certain timetable that he’s targeting and he’s on target for that timetable, which is great. It’s an aggressive timetable from if you just kind of put the whole thing into perspective. I think that shows what type of guy he is, just being able to come back and work through that process and get over those hurdles that it takes to put himself in this position.
“But, I mean, he looks awesome. He looks awesome whenever I see him doing anything. He looks pretty dang good.”
The 25-year-old Charbonnet rushed for a career-high 730 yards and 12 touchdowns as Seattle’s No. 2 running back last season. With Super Bowl MVP Kenneth Walker Jr. having left in free agency for Kansas City, Charbonnet will be paired with first-round NFL Draft pick Jadarian Price in the backfield when he returns.
