Injury Reports: Seahawks list 8 players; Patriots have key DNP

The first injury reports of the NFL season have been released ahead of the defending champion Seattle Seahawks’ Week 1 opener Wednesday night in a Super Bowl rematch against the New England Patriots.

The Seahawks have eight players listed on their initial injury report Sunday, with one not practicing, four limited and another three practicing fully.

There’s good and bad news for Seattle’s safety position. Nick Emmanwori, who was out from the start of training camp coming off of offseason ankle surgery, was limited Sunday. But Ty Okada wasn’t as fortunate, as he is the lone DNP with a hamstring injury.

Here is Seattle’s full injury report for Sunday’s practice:

New England had just three players listed on its practice report Sunday, but none of them practiced.

Most notable is second-year running back TreVeyon Henderson, who hasn’t practiced since suffering an ankle injury on Aug. 24. He rushed for 911 yards and nine touchdowns last season for the Patriots.

The NFL opener between the Seahawks and Patriots is set for a 5:20 p.m. kickoff Wednesday at Seattle’s Lumen Field. Seahawks Radio Network coverage on Seattle Sports will begin at 2 p.m. with the pregame show.
