The promotions come after Seahawks president of football operations and longtime GM John Schneider recently lost his top two front office executives to the Minnesota Vikings.
Nolan Teasley, who was Seattle’s assistant GM, was hired as Minnesota’s GM. And Trent Kirchner, who was Seattle’s vice president of player personnel, is reportedly joining Teasley as an assistant GM for the Vikings.
Berry is entering his 26th season working in the NFL, including his 19th with the Seahawks. In Seattle, he has worked as the vice president of player acquisition (2025-26), senior director of player personnel (2023–24), director of college scouting (2015–22), a national scout (2014) and a regional scout (2008–13).
Willie Schneider, who is John Schneider’s nephew, has been the Seahawks’ director of pro personnel since 2023. Prior to that, he was Seattle’s assistant director of pro personnel. He began his Seahawks career as an intern who worked with the personnel department and the coaching staff.
The Seahawks also announced four other promotions within their front office. They promoted Aaron Hineline to director of player personnel, Armani Perez to director of pro personnel, Jason Barnes to director of college scouting and Patrick Ward to vice president of research and analytics.
