After a rare mid-series day off, the Seattle Mariners are getting two key bats back in their lineup for Thursday’s 6:40 p.m. series finale against the Los Angeles Angels.

Dominic Canzone is in the No. 3 spot as the designated hitter and Luke Raley is returning to play right field and hit seventh against Angels starting pitcher Walbert Ureña (5-6, 3.14 ERA).

Canzone has been dealing with a sore hamstring since he exited a game on June 21 with the injury. Despite the issue, he hit a 428-foot home run in a Monday win over the Angels, which was his 13th of the season. The Mariners sat Canzone for Tuesday’s victory over Los Angeles with the hope that it coupled with Wednesday’s day off would help speed up his recovery.

Raley, who is tied for the team lead with 14 homers this season, has a left forearm injury and hasn’t played since last Saturday in Cleveland.

Mariners general manager Justin Hollander provided updates on the pair ahead of the series on Monday, saying both had opted to play through their injuries with the MLB All-Star break coming up July 13-16.

Also in Thursday’s lineup, the Mariners have J.P. Crawford at third base and leading off in his 1,000th career game in the big leagues.

Bryce Miller is set to start on the mound for the Mariners. He has been Seattle’s best pitcher since his return in mid-May from the injured list. In eight outings this season, the 27-year-old Miller is 3-2 with a 1.97 ERA, 0.72 WHIP and 54 strikeouts to just five walks over 45 2/3 innings.

The Mariners have a chance to complete their fifth series sweep of the year. They last swept a set on May 31 against Arizona, which came in the midst of a season-high eight-game win streak.

The M’s and Angels took Wednesday off with the World Cup Round of 32 match between Belgium and Senegal taking place at Lumen Field, which is across the street from the Mariners’ home stadium, T-Mobile Park.

Seattle enters play Thursday with a 44-43 record, tying with the Texas Rangers for both first place in the AL West and the third wild card spot in the American League.
