Two of the Seattle Mariners’ top offensive producers remain impacted by injury concerns going into a homestand that begins Monday night.
Luke Raley is dealing with a left forearm issue, and Dominic Canzone is hampered by a hamstring injury.

Mariners general manager Justin Hollander provided updates on both players prior to Monday’s 6:40 p.m. game against the Los Angeles Angels, saying that the two lefty-hitting outfielders want to play through their injuries with the MLB All-Star break coming up in two weeks.
Canzone is in the lineup Monday as the designated hitter, while Raley is out of the lineup for the second straight day. The Mariners have Triple-A outfielder/first baseman Connor Joe on the taxi squad in case either player needs to go on the injured list, Hollander said.

Canzone, 28, is slashing .274/.349/.542 for an .891 OPS with a career-high 12 home runs already this season, but he has been noticeably hampered by his hamstring when running the bases in recent games.
“Dom’s hamstring still doesn’t feel great. I don’t anticipate him playing the outfield right now,” Hollander said. “He wants to play through this and feels like he can contribute in the batter’s box, so at this point, I guess my expectation is that he will play through this for right now. If you get to a point where he can’t, he won’t. But I would expect him in the lineup tonight and we’ll just see where it goes over a period of days.
“There’s no right answer here, it’s just about what what he feels comfortable doing and what he wants to do. … There may be some down days where he just needs a day between now and the All-Star break, so we’ll just monitor that as it goes.”
Raley, 31, is slashing .238/.302/.485 for a .788 OPS with 14 home runs, which is tied for the team lead.
Raley’s forearm issue is something he has experienced before, according to Hollander.
“I don’t know where his status is going to be over the next couple of days,” Hollander said. “… Luke’s pretty adamant that he can and wants to play through it. Luke is about the toughest player I’ve ever seen. We’ve all seen him wear 100 (mph pitches) off the kneecap and jog to first base.”
Hollander added that Raley was getting checked out Monday.
Mariners Radio Network coverage on Seattle Sports of Monday’s game begins at 5:30 p.m. with the pregame show.
