The Seahawks have added depth to their depleted backfield, pass rush and secondary for Sunday’s game in Buffalo. The defensive tackle spot, however, remains steady without the presence of Damon “Snacks” Harrison.

Seahawks rule out six for Bills game who also sat out last week

Seattle announced Saturday afternoon that it has promoted running back Alex Collins from the practice squad just days after signing him, activated defensive end Rasheem Green from injured reserve as expected, and elevated practice squad cornerback Jayson Stanley to the active roster for the second straight week.

Harrison, a two-time Pro Bowler who signed to the Seahawks’ practice squad in early October, will go through a fourth straight game without being on the active roster. His signing to the practice squad was initially believed to be as a means for him to get him into game shape, but it’s starting to look more and more like Seattle brought him as an option should injuries to defensive tackles Jarran Reed, Bryan Mone and Poona Ford arise.

Collins, 26, was a 2016 fifth-round pick of the Seahawks out of Arkansas, and he spent one season with the team before going on to two successful seasons with the Baltimore Ravens, though his 2018 campaign was shortened by injury. He hasn’t played in the NFL since 2018, however, as Baltimore released him following a car crash and arrest in March 2019. He pleaded guilty to possession of more than 10 grams of marijuana and possession of a handgun in a vehicle and was sentenced to 18 months of unsupervised probation in October 2019.

Green, 23, returns after recovering from a stinger suffered in Week 1. The Seahawks’ sacks leader in 2019 with four, he and the newly acquired Carlos Dunlap should get plenty of opportunity to play Sunday with fellow defensive end Benson Mayowa out for the second straight week with an ankle injury.

Stanley, 23, exclusively played special teams in Seattle’s Week 8 win over San Francisco. He joined the team on a waiver claim in April.

The NFC West-leading Seahawks (6-1) play the AFC East-leading Bills (6-2) at 10 a.m. Sunday. Full coverage will be on 710 ESPN Seattle and KIRO Radio 97.3 FM beginning with the pregame show at 7 a.m. For details on how to hear the game depending on your location, click here.
