SEATTLE SEAHAWKS

Wyman: Seahawks can get run game going vs Browns with this technique

Oct 9, 2019, 1:53 PM

The Seahawks had plenty of reason to be interested in Monday’s game between the 49ers and the Browns.

Moore: Richard Sherman back-tracking isn’t new, and I would know

First of all, the undefeated 49ers are the only team ahead of Seattle in the NFC West and the Seahawks have two games against San Francisco this year (more on the possible renewal of their rivalry here). But in the more immediate future, the Hawks will face the Browns in Cleveland on Sunday as they attempt to win their third straight contest.

The 49ers had little trouble with the Browns, dispatching Baker Mayfield’s team 31-3 in primetime, and San Francisco did some things that the Seahawks can build off of on Sunday.

In this week’s edition of Dave Wyman’s Football 101, the co-host of 710 ESPN Seattle’s Bob, Dave and Moore and former NFL linebacker looks at how loading up in the backfield helped the 49ers start strong on this 83-yard Matt Breida touchdown to open the scoring.

The 49ers employed a fullback on the play, and Wyman explains how this could apply to the Seahawks with the personnel they have on their roster.

The Seahawks’ game in Cleveland begins at 10 a.m. Sunday, and Wyman will be on the call as Steve Raible’s color analyst on the 710 ESPN Seattle and KIRO Radio 97.3 FM radio broadcast. Coverage will begin at 7 a.m. with the pregame show.

You can also catch Wyman on The Huddle from noon to 2 p.m. Thursday live from Seahawks headquarters on 710 ESPN Seattle, as well as Hawks Live from 7-9 p.m. Thursday night.
