SEATTLE – The Seattle Seahawks held Kansas City to one of its worst offensive performances of the Patrick Mahomes era, smothering the previously unbeaten Chiefs for a 20-3 win on Sunday night.

Seattle Seahawks 20, Kansas City Chiefs 3: Box score

The Chiefs’ three points matched their fewest in Mahomes’ 153 career regular-season and postseason starts since he entered the league in 2017. Kansas City’s only other time being held to three points with Mahomes was in a 2021 loss to the Tennessee Titans.

Seattle also limited the Chiefs to just 213 total yards, their second-fewest in a game started by Mahomes. Kansas City’s low-water mark with Mahomes was 212 yards in a divisional round playoff win over the Houston Texans in January 2025.

The victory snapped a two-game losing skid for the defending Super Bowl champions, who had lost three of their past four games by a combined eight points.

Facing their former teammate, the Seahawks held NFL rushing leader Kenneth Walker III to just 36 yards on 14 carries. Walker entered the night with a league-high 665 rushing yards, but couldn’t find any space to run against Seattle’s “Dark Side” defense. Walker didn’t have a run longer than 7 yards.

In shutting down Walker, the Seahawks have gone a league-best 36 consecutive games without allowing a 100-yard rusher.

Mahomes completed just 19 of 33 passes for 165 yards and an interception. He averaged just 5.0 yards per pass attempt, which was the fifth-lowest mark of his career.
