Wyman: Seahawks vindicate GM by shutting down K9

It wasn't Kansas City's Kenneth Walker III who had 100 rushing yards on Sunday, but instead Seattle's Emanuel Wilson.

Watch: Wyman's Reaction: Seahawks over Kansas City Chiefs in Week 7 | 1 min

The Seattle Seahawks beat Kansas City, which was an undefeated team, and they just dominated them physically – the clock, third down, all of that was ridiculous.

Seahawks smother previously unbeaten Chiefs 20-3

One thing coming into this week that I think everybody was wringing their hands over was Kenneth Walker III coming to town. And one of the guys that was under the most pressure was Seahawks general manager John Schneider.

Schneider was totally vindicated in this game, because if K9 would have come in here, ran for over 100 yards and they beat us, then everybody would have wanted John’s head. But he is on a heater right now, and you just kind of have to trust him.

The guy who got 100 yards was the Seahawks’ Emanuel Wilson, a guy that Schneider knew from Green Bay. And K9 had 36 yards. It wasn’t even close to what the performance was there.

Like I said, John Schneider has been on a heater. He has absolutely made the right choices for the last few years. I’m happy for him and maybe that will quiet everybody down about the whole K9 thing. And then we’ve got running backs Zach Charbonnet and Jadarian Price coming back from injuries, who I absolutely trust to be the guys that can carry on this run game. But in the meantime, you get guys like Emanuel Wilson, Velus Jones and George Holani, who showed a lot of juice tonight as far as making people miss.

What a false narrative. What did Rashad Sheen do last night for his $17 million? Walker would have run for 200 yards for the Hawks last night.
