Report: Seahawks signing safety who is a top special teamer
The Seattle Seahawks are making an addition to their secondary that will also help on special teams in D'Anthony Bell, according to FOX Sports' Jordan Schultz.

The Seattle Seahawks are reportedly making an addition to their secondary that will also help on special teams.
D’Anthony Bell is coming to Seattle on a one-year deal, NFL insider Jordan Schultz of FOX Sports reported Friday.

The 28-year-old Bell has spent the past three seasons with the Cleveland Browns.
Since 2022, Bell has appeared in 50 NFL games – all but one that Cleveland has played in that span. That includes seven total starts at safety – two in 2022, four in 2023 and one in 2024. He made his biggest impact on defense in 2023, coming up with two interceptions, four passes defensed, four tackles for loss and one quarterback hit.

For his career, Bell has 61 tackles and a forced fumble.
The 6-foot-1, 211-pound Georgia native played in college at West Florida, where he helped the Argonauts win the Division II national championship in 2019 in just the fourth season of the football program’s existence.
Seattle Seahawks offseason tracker: Free agency, trades and more
Bell signed with the Browns as an undrafted free agent in April 2022. The Browns did not tender Bell as a restricted free agent this offseason.
Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reported on March 12, the first official day of free agency and the start of the 2025 NFL league year, that the Seahawks were set to meet with Bell.
Bell is the second addition this offseason to the Seahawks secondary, joining cornerback Shemar Jean-Charles.
Seattle’s top returning safeties are Julian Love and Coby Bryant.
