Macdonald reveals how Seahawks will shuffle OL after Quenton Nelson trade
Left tackle Charles Cross (ankle), wide receiver Rashid Shaheed (knee) and edge rusher Uchenna Nwosu (ankle) each sat out Thursday’s practice, while three-time Pro Bowl defensive tackle Leonard Williams (Achilles) was limited.
Cross and Shaheed both exited with injuries in Sunday night’s win over the Kansas City Chiefs. NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reported earlier in the week that Cross is expected to miss time, but head coach Mike Macdonald said Thursday the Seahawks aren’t planning to place him on injured reserve.
Nwosu and Williams are both dealing with new injuries. Nwosu was questionable with a hip injury last week, but played against the Chiefs.
Meanwhile, starting linebacker Drake Thomas (ankle) returned to practice as a limited participant after missing the past two games.
Rookie running back Jadarian Price (chest), whose 21-day window to be activated off injured reserve was opened Thursday, also was limited in his return to practice. Running back Zach Charbonnet (knee) was a full participant for the fourth straight practice as he works back from February ACL surgery.
Macdonald said Thursday that it’s “realistic” Price could play against the Bears on Monday night. Earlier in the week, Macdonald also left open the possibility that Charbonnet could make his return against Chicago.
Backup quarterback Drew Lock (right elbow) was limited Thursday after being inactive against the Chiefs.
