Seahawks Roster Moves: Rookie FB Robbie Ouzts placed on IR

The Seattle Seahawks will be without one of their 2025 NFL Draft picks for at least the next four games.

Seattle placed rookie fullback Robbie Ouzts on injured reserve Wednesday, a day ahead of a Thursday night showdown with the NFC West rival Arizona Cardinals.

Ouzts, a fifth-round pick out of Alabama, suffered an ankle injury in Sunday’s 44-13 win over the New Orleans Saints at Seattle’s Lumen Field.

The 6-foot-3, 274-pound converted tight end has appeared in all three games for the Seahawks this season but has not registered a carry or been targeted as a receiver.

Ouzts must miss the next four Seahawks games after being placed on IR. The Seahawks’ bye will come after those four games, making it possible for Ouzts to return in Week 9 at Washington on Nov. 2.

With Ouzts’ spot opened on the 53-man active roster, the Seahawks signed safety D’Anthony Bell off of the practice squad Wednesday. They also signed safety Jerrick Reed II to the practice squad to fill the opening created by Bell’s elevation a day after waiving him.

The Seahawks will meet the Cardinals in a battle of 2-1 teams at 5:15 p.m. Thursday in Arizona. Radio coverage on Seattle Sports will begin at 2 p.m. with the pregame show.
