Seahawks Injury Report: 4 ruled out, WR position hit hard

The Seattle Seahawks have ruled out four players for Sunday’s game against the Arizona Cardinals, and both a rookie standout and key defensive player are doubtful.

Wide receivers Jake Bobo and Dareke Young, cornerback Josh Jobe and guard Christian Haynes were all ruled out on the injury report released Friday afternoon. Additionally, wide receiver Tory Horton and linebacker Ernest Jones IV are doubtful.

Wide receiver is clearly the area with the most concern this week, with Seattle knowing it will be without two players at the position on Sunday. That puts even more pressure on veteran Cooper Kupp, another receiver who has been deemed questionable for the game against the Cardinals.

The Seahawks at least have a new face at receiver thanks to their Tuesday trade with the New Orleans Saints for Rashid Shaheed.

Bobo has a calf injury, Young has a quadriceps injury, Horton is dealing with groin and shin woes, and Kupp missed Seattle’s win over Washington last Sunday with hamstring and heel concerns. Kupp was a full participant in practice Friday after being limited Thursday, but none of the other three receivers practiced at all Thursday or Friday.

Horton, a 2025 fifth-round NFL Draft pick out of Colorado State, has 161 yards and five touchdowns on 13 receptions in eight games this season. He was listed as a full participant for practice on Wednesday with the groin injury, but the shin injury was added to the report as he sat out Thursday.

Jones, who suffered a knee injury in the game at Washington, was limited in practice Thursday and did not practice Friday.

Tight end A.J. Barner, who has a calf injury, is questionable for Sunday. He was limited Wednesday and Thursday but was a full participant Friday.

Jobe suffered a concussion against the Commanders and did not practice once this week.

Haynes was a full participant all week, which was his second after being designated to return from injured reserve.

Rookie tight end Elijah Arroyo (elbow) and veteran defensive tackle Jarran Reed (wrist) are both expected to play against the Cardinals.

The 6-2 Seahawks host the 3-5 Cardinals at 1:05 p.m. Sunday at Lumen Field. Radio coverage on Seattle Sports will begin at 10 a.m. with the pregame show.
