Bump has his eye on 2 players as Seahawks begin OTAs
The Seahawks will hold their first Organized Team Activity workout on Tuesday at team headquarters.

Tuesday will be a big day for the defending Super Bowl champion Seattle Seahawks, as that’s when they will hit the field at team headquarters for their first Organized Team Activity (OTA) workout.

Seattle Sports’ Michael Bumpus, a football broadcast analyst and former NFL wide receiver, has a couple specific players he’s looking forward to watching for the first time with the whole team.
On defense, the player is Bud Clark, the safety from TCU who the Hawks drafted in the second round last month.
“I want to see these rookies shine, especially Bud Clark,” Bumpus said.
Bumpus sees a similar mentality from Clark as that of Seattle’s three-time Pro Bowl cornerback Devon Witherspoon.
“The first thing I’m looking is seeing how he and Witherspoon interact because they bring the same type of energy. They’re very active. Big personalities, but they fly to the football as well,” he said.
Analysts are raving about Seahawks rookie safety Bud Clark
On offense, it’s another new draft pick that has piqued Bumpus’ interest: offensive lineman Beau Stephens, an Iowa product who Seattle grabbed in the fifth round and who is expected to challenge Anthony Bradford for the starting right guard position.
That being said, Bumpus is hoping Bradford, who is entering his fourth NFL season, can hold off the rookie.
“Beau Stephens – is he going to push Anthony Bradford? I’m rooting for Anthony Bradford, honestly. I know a lot of people knock him sometimes and he has his moments, but when he’s on point, he is on point.”
Bumpus has an optimistic view of that particular battle.
“If (Bradford) is able to hold off Beau Stephens, that just means he got that much better,” Bumpus said. “But if Beau Stephens beats him out, that means you got better at that spot. So it’s a win-win situation.”

Bradford gets better every year, and don't forget Cabeldue. It will be a great battle on the O Line.
Stephen’s is potentially a ^great* pass blocker. His record for pass protection at Iowa was tremendous. , so Stephen’s could potentially rotate/platoon with Bradford; Bradford for primarily run plays and Stephen’s for longer yardage downs where they are more likely to pass
