Watts spent last season at Texas Tech. He’s a four-star recruit, the 59th-ranked player in the transfer portal and the seventh-ranked small forward in the portal, according to 247sports.com.

Watts appeared in 33 games and made 28 starts while helping the Red Raiders reach the second round of the NCAA Tournament this past season. The 6-foot-6 junior averaged 11.8 points, 6.0 rebounds and 2.4 assists per game. He shot 43.3% from the field, 32.1% from 3-point range and 76.9% from the free-throw line. Watts poured in a career-high 36 points in Texas Tech’s 101-90 win over Northern Colorado on Dec. 16, 2025.

A Fresno, Calif., native, Watts began his college career at EWU. After redshirting in his first year with the Eagles, he averaged 9.4 points, 4.9 rebounds and 1.7 assists over 32 games on his way to winning Big Sky Freshman of the Year during the 2023-24 season.

Watts then transferred to WSU, following former EWU coach David Riley to the Palouse. He averaged career highs of 13.7 points, 6.7 rebounds, 4.4 assists and 1.1 steals while starting all 34 games for the Cougars during the 2024-25 campaign.
