SEATTLE MARINERS

You can watch Friday’s Mariners game on Apple TV+ with local radio call

Sep 12, 2025, 11:19 AM

The Seattle Mariners’ playoff push will be in the national spotlight Friday night, as the TV broadcast of their 7:10 p.m. game against the division rival Los Angeles Angels will air exclusively on the Apple TV+ streaming service.

Olney: Mariners may be American League’s most dangerous team

There’s a benefit to the Mariners playing on Apple: you can change the audio feed for the game to the Seattle Sports radio broadcast, featuring announcers Rick Rizzs and Gary Hill Jr.

To change the audio from the Apple announcers to Seattle Sports, click the circular waveform icon – above the timeline and to the right of the button for subtitles (that icon looks like a quote box). It will give the options to choose the TV audio or either team’s radio feed.

If you don’t have Apple TV+, you can still listen to the radio broadcast of Friday’s live on Seattle Sports 710 AM, the Seattle Sports app or streaming at SeattleSports.com starting at 6 p.m. with the pregame show. For details on how to stream Mariners radio broadcasts, click here.

For the record, Apple TV+ isn’t the only streaming that allows viewers to chose between TV and radio feeds. The MLB.TV subscription service also has the capability, but the catch is that subscribers can only watch out-of-market games through MLB.TV.

Friday is the last scheduled Apple TV+ game of the year for the Mariners, who have been finding themselves on national broadcasts with regularity this season, and particularly as of late.

Seattle was featured on ESPN’s Sunday Night Baseball in the Little League Classic against the New York Mets on Aug. 17.

The Mariners’ Aug. 30 game at Cleveland was on a FOX broadcast.

Last Sunday’s 18-2 blowout win at Atlanta was featured on the free streaming Roku Channel.

And just last week, ESPN announced that the Mariners’ big series finale on the road against the Houston Astros on Sept. 21 has been moved to the primetime 4 p.m. Sunday Night Baseball slot.

If the Mariners make the playoffs, even more national games will be in their future. The American League Wild Card Series games will air on ESPN platforms, while FOX channels will air the following AL playoff series as well the World Series.
