Dominic Canzone, who homered and made a diving catch earlier in the game, exited the Seattle Mariners’ 3-1 win over the Boston Red Sox on Sunday after injuring his hamstring while trying to beat a throw to first base in the sixth inning.

Mariners manager Dan Wilson said after the game that Canzone is day to day. Seattle has an off day Monday before opening a six-game road trip Tuesday in Pittsburgh.
“He felt his hamstring a little bit and so he’s kind of a day-to-day situation,” Wilson said. “We’ll see how he’s feeling after the off day tomorrow.”
According to Mariners insider Shannon Drayer, Canzone said he’s going to be OK.
Canzone was moving around the clubhouse okay. Said he was going to be fine. Is going on the trip.

Canzone hit an RBI groundout to shortstop in the bottom of the sixth that drove in Julio Rodríguez and stretched Seattle’s lead to 3-1. But while trying to beat the throw to first, Canzone lunged toward the bag and then grabbed the back of his right leg.
Upon returning to the dugout, Canzone talked with head athletic trainer Kyle Torgerson and then exited the game. He was replaced by Luke Raley in right field to begin the top of the seventh.
Canzone was in the midst of a big day.
In the second inning, the lefty-hitting Canzone connected for an opposite-field solo home run off Red Sox starter Payton Tolle. It was Canzone’s first homer off a southpaw this season.
And in the top of the sixth, Canzone made a diving catch on a line drive from Ceddanne Rafaela and then doubled up Nate Eaton at second base for an inning-ending double play.
Canzone has been one of the Mariners’ best hitters this season. He’s slashing .281/.353/.562 with 12 homers and a team-high .915 OPS.
Canzone’s early exit was the latest in a long line of ailments for the injury-plagued Mariners, who still have several key players sidelined even after star catcher Cal Raleigh and veteran infielder J.P. Crawford returned from the injured list this past week.
The Mariners placed outfielder Randy Arozarena (left hamstring soreness) on the 10-day IL last Tuesday, high-leverage reliever Matt Brash (right lat strain) landed on the 10-day IL on June 10 and infielder Brendan Donovan (left groin strain) has been out for over a month.
Rodríguez (hamstring spasm), first baseman Josh Naylor (right wrist soreness) and Raley (back tightness) also each missed at least one game this past week with minor ailments. All three have since returned to the lineup.

What's going on with Brennan Davis in Tacoma. A right handed bat with speed, an arm, and power, and on-base ability, and outfield defense seems exactly what the M's need, and Refsnyder and Joe aren't getting it done either offensively or defensively.
