Monday notebook: Lineups for two “The Hot Stove” shows this week
There will be not one but two "The Hot Stove" shows this week on 710 ESPN Seattle, plus the latest news on Robinson Cano.
We will have two Hot Stove shows this week on 710 ESPN Seattle, one Tuesday at our normally scheduled time from 7-9 p.m., and one special edition from FanFest on Saturday from noon to 2 p.m.
Aaron Goldsmith and Mike Blowers will join me in studio, where our guests will include Mariners bench coach Trent Jewett, new Mariners outfielder Justin Ruggiano, Oakland A’s radio play-by-play announcer Vince Cotroneo, and Mariners.com beat writer Greg Johns. We will also get the rundown on FanFest from a member of the Mariners marketing department.
Notes
• ESPN’s Buster Olney has put out his list of the top ten teams in baseball (Insider subscription required). Olney has the Mariners coming in at No. 7 overall and No. 3 in the American League behind Kansas City and Anaheim.
• According to a report on LigaDom.com, Robinson Cano will play his final game for Estrellas del Orientales tonight. Cano was granted permission to play in a few Dominican League games to test out the toe he fractured in the Japan Series. He has gone 8 for 15 with a triple, double and five RBIs in four games and helped his hometown team to the Dominican League finals, where they currently hold a 2-0 lead in the best of nine series.
