Brock Huard’s Chalk Talk: Tempo leads to Seahawks’ 1st TD vs Cowboys

Former NFL quarterback and current ESPN college football analyst Brock Huard shows how important tempo was in the Seahawks' first score of their 24-13 win over Dallas, a 16-yard TD pass from Russell Wilson to Jaron Brown.

The Seahawks put together their best offensive performance of the season so far in the second quarter of Sunday’s 24-13 win over the Dallas Cowboys, scoring 17 points in the frame to take a two-score lead into half.

The big quarter started with a 16-yard touchdown pass from quarterback Russell Wilson to wide receiver Jaron Brown, and while Brock Huard usually talks about players, formations and plays when he breaks things down on Chalk Talk, that TD had another factor: tempo.

In the attached video, former NFL quarterback and current ESPN college football analyst Huard shows how an emphasis on tempo led to the Seahawks’ first score of the day, getting them going in the right direction for their first win of the 2018 NFL season.
