Seattle Seahawks safety Nick Emmanwori (ankle, hip) remained limited on Wednesday’s practice report ahead of Sunday’s Week 2 matchup against the Arizona Cardinals.
Emmanwori also was limited last week while working back from July ankle surgery, but his hip injury is a new development.
Seahawks confirm QB Sam Darnold will miss Week 2 due to injury
Meanwhile, wide receiver Tory Horton (hamstring) progressed to a full participant after being limited last week. Horton hasn’t played since Week 9 of last season, as he missed the second half of his rookie campaign with a cracked tibia.
Safety Ty Okada (hamstring) remained sidelined, but head coach Mike Macdonald said earlier in the day that he “has a chance” to play Sunday.
Emmanwori, Horton and Okada each missed Seattle’s Week 1 win over the New England Patriots on Sept. 9.
Wide receiver Cooper Kupp (back), right guard Anthony Bradford (knee) and backup offensive tackle Josh Jones (knee) also were limited Wednesday.
As expected, quarterback Sam Darnold (glute) remained sidelined. The Seahawks have already ruled out Darnold for Sunday’s game, but Macdonald said they “don’t anticipate” having to put the 29-year-old signal caller on injured reserve, which would require him to miss at least the next four games.
