Add Josh Naylor and Andrés Muñoz to the long list of health concerns for Seattle Mariners.
Manager Dan Wilson told reporters postgame Naylor (shin) and Muñoz (back) are day-to-day after leaving Sunday’s 10-1 loss against the Washington Nationals early as the M’s wrapped up a brutal road trip health-wise.

Naylor fouled a pitch off his right shin and hobbled on one leg before going to the ground during the top of the sixth inning. After being checked on by a team trainer, he finished the at-bat, lining out to center field, but was pulled for defensive replacement Patrick Wisdom in the bottom half of the inning.
Wilson said X-rays on Naylor’s shin were negative.
“Just wanted to get him out of there. He’s checked out fine,” Wilson said “… Just a chance for him to make sure he was OK and get him off of his feet for the rest of that one.”
Muñoz, who was pitching for the first time in six days, faced just two batters in the bottom of the eighth before needing to be checked on by an athletic trainer and leaving the game.
Wilson said Muñoz was dealing with back tightness.
“It kind of started to tighten up on him when he came out there to get started,” Wilson said.
The early exits occurred on the final day of a road trip that’s seen three Mariners go on the injured list and two more miss time with ailments.
The club placed shortstop J.P. Crawford (right hand contusion) on the 10-day injured list Monday (retroactive to June 6), reliever Cooper Criswell (right shoulder strain) on the 15-day IL Tuesday and reliever Matt Brash (right lat strain) on the 15-day IL Wednesday.
Additionally, rookie Colt Emerson missed three games with back spasms at the start of the week before returning Thursday, and left fielder Randy Arozarena missed the final two games of the road trip with a hamstring injury suffered Friday night.
The Mariners could get some reinforcements in the form of Crawford, Arozarena and catcher Cal Raleigh when they begin a homestand against the Baltimore Orioles on Tuesday following a much-needed off day.
MLB.com’s Daniel Kramer reported Crawford is expected to return on Tuesday, potentially as the third baseman. Seattle Sports Mariners insider Shannon Drayer shared video on social media of Crawford participating in infield drills at third base before Sunday’s game.

Arozarena was day-to-day with his hamstring issue and is expected to return Tuesday. Drayer reported he went through agility drills before Sunday’s game.
Munoz came out of the game with back tightness and Naylor’s X-rays were negative.
Earlier in the day JP Crawford hit in the cages and took work at 3B where he said everything felt good and Arozarena (hamstring) ran agility drills in the outfield.

Raleigh (right oblique strain) was playing in his fifth game of a rehab assignment Sunday, which marked his first time playing consecutive days since going on the injured list May 14. He had homered five times in three games with Tacoma this week entering Sunday, a good sign he’s ready to return.
“All reports have been good. Obviously, the results have been good,” Wilson said when asked Raleigh would return from his rehab assignment when the homestand opens Tuesday. “I think that’s the plan. We’ll just kind of see how he bounces back from today.”
