The Seahawks have a quick turnaround from Sunday’s 28-21 win over the San Francisco 49ers to a Thursday night game against the 3-1 Los Angeles Rams, and some players’ statuses are up in the air for Week 5.

Defensive end Carlos Dunlap was one player who was hurt Sunday, and he appears unlikely to suit up on the short week, Seahawks coach Pete Carroll told Mike Salk during 710 ESPN Seattle’s weekly Pete Carroll Show on Monday morning.

“He has a sprained toe. Turf toe in kind of the classic fashion,” Carroll said. “We’ve got to see how he responds. It’s going to be hard by Thursday night, but we’ll see.”

Carroll said he hopes starting tight end Gerald Everett can make it back from the COVID-19 list.

“I don’t know if there’s enough time,” he said. “We’ll see.”

Linebacker Cody Barton and wide receiver Penny Hart “got banged a little bit,” according to Carroll, but he added “those guys are so tough” and said he would be “shocked” if they miss Thursday.

Second-year defensive end Darrell Taylor is also a name to watch as he “tweaked his ankle,” per Carroll.

Reserve right tackle Jamarco Jones, who started in Week 3 for starter Brandon Shell, missed Week 4 with an illness. Carroll said team doctors are happy that they think they found “the source of it.”

Speaking of Shell, who has been out since Week 2 with an ankle injury, Carroll said he will practice this week but it’s unclear if he’ll suit up on Thursday.

Rookie receiver Dee Eskridge, who has been out since suffering a concussion in Week 1, has practiced of late, but Carroll said he’s not sure if Eskridge can play Thursday or if he’ll miss his fourth game in a row.

“He’s got some more testing to make sure that he’s OK,” he said. “He looked great in practice, he just didn’t feel well after practice, so that’s why we had to chill him out a little bit.”
