The Seahawks and Rams couldn’t be much more different health-wise heading into their Week 10 NFC West showdown.

Seahawks added speed on defense to stop Rams, but will they be able to?

Seattle, 6-2 so far, will be without four starters and two key players while the 5-3 Rams are coming off a bye week and all their inactives are backups, most of whom are healthy scratches.

In this key divisional game, the Seahawks will have two backups playing at cornerback as Shaquill Griffin is out for the third game in a row with a hamstring injury and Quinton Dunbar is out with a nagging knee injury that caused him to struggle mightily in last week’s loss to the Buffalo Bills. Tre Flowers will get the start at one outside corner spot while Neiko Thorpe, D.J. Reed, Ryan Neal and Linden Stephens are all options for the other spot.

Seattle will be without starting running back Chris Carson, a two-time 1,000-yard rusher, as well as his backup Carlos Hyde. Carson and Hyde have missed the last two games with foot and hamstring injuries, respectively.

Starting center Ethan Pocic is also out due to a concussion, so Kyle Fuller will get his first NFL start in his place.

Also out is defensive end Benson Mayowa, who is battling a hamstring injury. He has been one of the Seahawks’ top pass rushers this year with two sacks. He missed last week’s game as well.

Rounding out the inactives list is rookie tight end Colby Parkinson, who hasn’t played much since coming back from a foot injury. The Seahawks have three capable veteran tight ends ahead of him on the depth chart in Greg Olsen, Will Dissly and Jacob Hollister.

The good news for the Seahawks when it comes to injuries is that starting outside linebacker K.J. Wright is active despite being listed as questionable with an ankle injury. Also active are rookie defensive end Alton Robinson (illness) and receivers Penny Hart (knee) and Freddie Swain (foot).

Additionally, the Seahawks have two players from the practice squad up for Sunday’s contest as former All-Pro defensive tackle Damon “Snacks” Harrison is making his 2020 debut while running back Alex Collins is up for the second game in a row.

For the Rams, they used the week off to get healthy, and backup center Brian Allen is the only inactive Los Angeles player who was listed on the team’s injury report this week.

The Seahawks will have a quick turnaround after the game in Los Angeles as they will host the Arizona Cardinals in just four days on Thursday Night Football. Arizona won the last matchup between the two teams three weeks ago, leaving the Seahawks to look to split the season series. Seattle may also get some reinforcements as ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported Saturday that Carson has a very good chance to play on Thursday in Seattle.
