The status of Seahawks’ Pro Bowl safety Kam Chancellor is up in the air, though head coach Pete Carroll said the team will know more in the next few days.

“Kam’s seeing some doctors to make sure about his neck,” Carroll said late Tuesday afternoon. “He got stingers in the game and we want to make sure that he’s OK. So it’ll be a couple days before we know.”

Blue 42: How concerning is Kam Chancellor’s injury?

Chancellor injured his neck in Seattle’s win over Arizona last Thursday.

Seattle earlier Tuesday announced several roster moves, including the signing of cornerback Byron Maxwell and the promotion of running back Mike Davis. Also included in the moves was running back C.J. Prosise, who was placed on Injured Reserve.

Carroll confirmed it was an ankle sprain for Prosise, but the hope is that the third-year pro could return later this year. That would put him on a similar pace to return with rookie running back Chris Carson, who is recovering from a leg fracture and could also return in late December or early January.

The day was otherwise light on the injury front; Seattle is not yet required to disclose updates since the team does not practice until Thursday, so Carroll said they’ll hold off a bit longer with that information.
