The Seattle Storm announced Thursday they have waived guards Elle Ladine and Jalyn Brown and forward Beatrice Mompremier.
The roster cuts came a day after the Storm wrapped up their quick two-game preseason slate.

Undrafted rookie Ladine is the most notable of the trio locally, as she was a standout with the UW Huskies who helped Washington make back-to-back trips to the NCAA Tournament in the past two seasons.
Ladine had one point in five minutes, 39 seconds of action last Saturday in the Storm’s 78-76 road loss to the Golden State Valkyries, then hit one of her two 3-point attempts plus made a rebound and a steal in six minutes, 23 seconds of action in a 91-81 win over the expansion Portland Fire in Seattle on Wednesday.

Brown – not to be confused with fellow Storm training camp signee Jaelyn Brown – is an undrafted rookie out of Michigan State. She had no points, four rebounds and an assist in her lone preseason appearance against Portland.
Mompremier, a 2020 WNBA Draft pick by the Los Angeles Sparks out of Miami, played 2:18 in the game against Portland. She last appeared in the league in 2022 with the Atlanta Dream.
The Storm will open the WNBA regular season next Friday, May 8 in a 7 p.m. home game at Climate Pledge Arena against Golden State. The TV broadcast of the game will air on ION.
