The get-in prices for Seattle’s World Cup knockout matches

The knockout stage of the World Cup is now underway, which means the rest of the tournament takes on a single-elimination format with five rounds of do-or-die matches to whittle a 32-team bracket down to a world champion.

Seattle, which hosted four group stage matches, will host a pair of knockout matches – the Belgium-Senegal round-of-32 clash on Wednesday and a round-of-16 match on July 6 that could feature the United States, if the Americans beat Bosnia-Herzegovina in the round of 32.

How much will it cost to get into Lumen Field – or Seattle Stadium, as it’s been temporarily renamed – for those two knockout matches? Here’s a look at the get-in prices as of Monday morning, according to TicketData.com.

Round of 32 match

• Matchup: Belgium vs. Senegal
• When: Wednesday, July 1 (1 p.m.)
• Get-in price: $455 (including fees)

This surprisingly has the second-lowest get-in price of any remaining World Cup match, despite it being one of the better round-of-32 matchups. Heading into the World Cup, Belgium was No. 9 and Senegal was No. 15 in the FIFA world rankings. The get-in price for this match has dropped considerably since a peak of $1,333 on June 22.

Round of 16 match

• Matchup: United States/Bosnia-Herzegovina winner vs. Belgium/Senegal winner
• When: Monday, July 6 (5 p.m.)
• Get-in price: $2,139 (including fees)

With the possibility of the U.S. playing on home soil for a spot in the quarterfinals, this has the second-most expensive get-in price of any round-of-16 match. The only one higher is Mexico City’s round-of-16 match – which could feature a showdown between Mexico and England – at a get-in price of $2,775.

The get-in price for this Seattle round-of-16 match was hovering around $1,000 prior to the World Cup. But after the U.S. won its first two matches at the World Cup for the first time since 1930, the get-in price skyrocketed to a peak of $3,925 on June 21 before gradually dipping over the past week.
