Analyst: Seahawks WR Tory Horton looks ‘fast’ and ‘ready’

For the first half of last season, Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Tory Horton looked like one of the biggest steals of the 2025 NFL Draft.

A fifth-round draft pick out of Colorado State, Horton tallied 13 catches for 161 yards and five touchdowns over his first eight games. The speedy wideout also had 16 punt returns for 238 yards, including a franchise-record 95-yard punt return TD.

Even more impressive was that Horton did much of that while playing through a shin injury. However, that injury eventually caught up to him, wiping away the second half of his promising rookie campaign. He didn’t play a snap after Week 9, underwent surgery in February and spent the offseason rehabbing.

But now, Horton is back on the field and a full participant in training camp.

And according to Seahawks Radio Network analyst and former NFL wideout Bryan Walters, Horton already appears back to his 2025 first-half form.

“I’ve been loving watching Tory Horton back and healthy,” Walters told Seattle Sports’ Bump and Stacy. “… He looks fast again out there. He looks like he’s ready to pick up where he left off.”

If the 6-foot-2 Horton can stay healthy, he’d join reigning NFL receiving leader Jaxon Smith-Njigba, veteran Cooper Kupp and fellow speedster Rashid Shaheed to give the Seahawks a deep and talented four-man receiving corps.

“He brings a skill set that you don’t really have,” Walters said. “He’s a little taller. He’s lankier. He’s a speedster. And Rashid Shaheed is a speedster too, but he doesn’t have the length that Tory Horton has.

“So I’m excited to see him if he can stay healthy. That’ll be the big question for him. I hope he can, because this receiving core is stacked if he’s in there.”
