Seattle Seahawks standout defensive lineman Leonard Williams is set to play in Sunday’s NFC West showdown against the San Francisco 49ers.

Williams suffered an ankle injury in Seattle’s win over the Los Angeles Chargers this past Sunday, but wasn’t listed with a game status designation on Friday’s injury report. Macdonald then confirmed in his media availability that the three-time Pro Bowl defensive tackle is good to go.

“Leonard is gonna play,” Macdonald said.

Williams, 32, was limited in Wednesday’s practice and sat out Thursday, but Macdonald implied that was a precautionary measure.

“We just wanted to do right by him and make sure he was good to go,” Macdonald said.

Meanwhile, running back George Holani (ribs) and special teams ace Irv Charles (knee) are both questionable. Charles, acquired in a May trade with the New York Jets, is currently on injured reserve but could be activated ahead of Sunday’s game.

Seattle ruled out reserve cornerback Julian Neal (hamstring) and special teams stalwart Chazz Surratt (calf). Macdonald already ruled out running back Zach Charbonnet (knee) earlier in the week. Charbonnet returned to practice last week, but remains on the physically unable to perform list as he works back from February ACL surgery.

No other Seahawks have game status designations, which means every other player on their 53-man roster is considered healthy enough to play Sunday.

That includes safety Ty Okada (hamstring), who is set to make his season debut after missing the first four games. Macdonald indicated that Okada will resume his starting role alongside fellow safety Julian Love. Rodney Thomas II started all four games in Okada’s place.

“Rodney’s done a tremendous job filling in for Ty, but Ty’s gonna play,” Macdonald said. “He’s ready to go. He’s done a great job doing the things that Ty does. He’s making plays in the back end, he’s getting us lined up, he’s getting us in and out of plays. He’s done a really great job.

“He’s not rusty at all on the mental side and it seems like he’s moving around great, so looking forward to seeing him play.”

49ers injury report

San Francisco officially ruled out five-time Pro Bowl defensive end Nick Bosa (knee, calf), 10-time Pro Bowl fullback Kyle Juszczyk (knee) and safety Marques Sigle (ankle). All three were widely expected to miss Sunday’s game.

The 49ers also ruled out backup defensive tackle James Thompson Jr. (ankle). They listed cornerback Upton Stout (shoulder) and defensive end Mykel Williams (knee) as questionable.
