Head coach Mike Macdonald said after practice that Seahawks players and coaches were splitting into groups to visit Seattle Children’s hospital, the Ronald McDonald House, the Veterans Affairs medical center and the Family First Community Center in Renton – the latter of which was founded by former Seahawks great Doug Baldwin.
“We were looking for ways for guys to be together, and we haven’t really done one of these, and so I thought it was a great opportunity for us to get out there and go do our thing and serve our community,” Macdonald said. “And the guys are all about it, so we’re really looking forward to it. It’ll be great.”
The Seahawks conclude their three-day minicamp on Thursday. After that, the reigning Super Bowl champions will be off for a six-week summer break before they open training camp on July 25.
Giving back, together.
