Seahawks sign veteran O-lineman with starting experience

The Seattle Seahawks announced a move Monday afternoon, signing veteran offensive tackle Bobby Hart to their 90-man roster.

To make room for Hart, the Seahawks waived rookie wide receiver Levi Wentz.

The 31-year-old Hart played 10 games for the Los Angeles Chargers in 2025, eight of which he started. He initially joined the Chargers as a practice squad signing last October. He missed three games in November as he dealt with knee and ankle injuries.

Prior to his time with the Chargers, Hart played three seasons each with the New York Giants (2015-17) and Cincinnati Bengals (2018-20). He also had stints with the Tennessee Titans (2021) and Buffalo Bills (2021-22). Hart did not appear in an NFL game in 2023 or 2024 but spent time with the Detroit Lions and Washington Commanders.

Hart has started 75 of his 108 career games, and was the Bengals’ starting right tackle for the full 2018 and 2019 seasons.

Hart, who is listed as 6 foot 4 and 334 pounds, was a seventh-round NFL Draft pick in 2015 out of Florida State by the Giants.

Wentz was an undrafted free agent signing by the Seahawks in May. He played two seasons at Old Dominion and one at Kansas in college.
