Seahawks Injury Report: Charbonnet takes big step toward return
Ross spent the second half of the 2024 season with the Seahawks, who claimed him off waivers that October. He appeared in each of Seattle’s final 10 games that season, playing exclusively on special teams. The Seahawks waived him during 2025 roster cutdowns.
Ross also appeared in 12 games with the Baltimore Ravens from 2022-24, playing exclusively on special teams. He spent the end of 2025 on Minnesota’s practice squad and was with the Vikings this past offseason. He was released during roster cutdowns in August.
The Seahawks’ injury report on Wednesday included three of the five linebackers on their 53-man roster. Starting linebacker Drake Thomas (ankle) and special teamer/reserve linebacker Chazz Surratt (calf) didn’t practice, while backup linebacker Tyrice Knight (oblique) was limited.
Ross joins Jimmy Ciarlo to give Seattle a second linebacker on its practice squad.
In 2021, Ross was a third-team All-Big Ten selection at Michigan, where Seahawks head coach Mike Macdonald was the Wolverines’ defensive coordinator at the time. Ross’ first two seasons in Baltimore also coincided with Macdonald’s tenure as the Ravens’ defensive coordinator.
