Seahawks’ Marshawn Lynch reportedly shows generosity to McDonald’s employee

Watch out Skittles, sounds like Marshawn Lynch is putting his money towards another power source.

TMZ reported Thursday that the Seattle Seahawks running back gave $500 to a 17-year-old McDonald’s employee so that the teenager could buy some new shoes. TMZ quoted the employee as saying he told Lynch that he liked the Seahawks stars shoes and that he wanted to buy a pair himself.

After chatting for a bit, Lynch handed the employee $500, saying “If you’re serious about getting those shoes, here’s some money to help you get ’em. My job is to continue to see you grow,” the employee reportedly told TMZ.

Despite the report, Lynch’s teammate Fred Jackson, who has a history with the gossip and rumor site, cast some doubt on the story.

“I was just talking to Marshawn about career stats and the first thing that popped up was that he gave somebody $500 seven hours ago at McDonald’s,” Jackson told 710 ESPN Seattle’s “Brock and Salk” on Thursday morning. “I was like, pretty sure seven hours ago I would hope you would be asleep somewhere and not giving out $500 to somebody at McDonalds.”

TMZ actually reported that Lynch gave the McDonald’s employee money last Sunday after the Cowboys game.
