Seahawks chair Jody Allen raises 12 Flag for NFC Championship

There were plenty of guesses as to who would raise the 12 Flag before the NFC Championship. In the end, the Seattle Seahawks honored their franchise tradition.

Seahawks chair Jody Allen raised the 12 Flag to get Lumen Field rocking at the opening kickoff on Sunday against the Los Angeles Rams as the NFC West rivals squared off for a spot in Super Bowl LX. She was joined by former Seahawks Matt Hasselbeck, Cliff Avril and Michael Bennett.

This was Allen’s first time raising the flag for the NFC Championship, but it was something her brother and former longtime owner, Paul Allen, had done the past three times the Seahawks reached their conference’s title tilt in the 2005, 2013 and 2014 seasons.

Jody Allen took over the franchise from her brother after his death at age 65 in October 2018. Paul Allen purchased the franchise in 1997.
