The Seattle Seahawks signed tight end Josiah Deguara and fullback Jackson Acker to the practice squad on Monday.

Running back Dontae McMillan and wide receiver Malick Meiga were released in corresponding moves.

Report: Seattle Seahawks TE Elijah Arroyo expected to go on IR

Deguara, 29, has appeared in 78 games and hauled in 53 receptions for 471 yards and three TDs over seven pro seasons with the Green Bay Packers, Jacksonville Jaguars, Arizona Cardinals and Philadelphia Eagles. He appeared in one game for Philadelphia this year, logging 21 snaps on special teams in a Week 4, and was released from the Eagles’ practice squad last Tuesday.

A former third-round pick out of Cincinnati, the 6-foot-2, 240-pound Deguara’s signing comes after a report from ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler that Seahawks tight end Elijah Arroyo is likely to be placed on injured reserve with a shoulder injury, meaning he would miss at least the next four games. Fowler had also reported earlier in the day that Deguara would be signing to Seattle’s practice squad.

Acker, 24, went undrafted this year out of Wisconsin. He was signed by the Buffalo Bills as an undrafted free agent in May and was waived in August. He split time between running back and fullback during his time at Wisconsin and totaled 415 yards and three TDs on 4.4 yards per carry, adding 276 yards and three TDs on 37 receptions, in 50 games over five seasons.

McMillan, a Seattle native who attended Chief Sealth High School, was signed to the Seahawks’ practice squad Oct. 6. The 25-year-old undrafted rookie out of Eastern Michigan has yet to appear in an NFL game.

Seahawks should really look into signing Gee Scott Jr. TE, also a Seattle native who attended Kennedy Catholic High School undrafted free agent from The Ohio State. That kid needs to get his chance to shine. His work ethic is amazing, He’ll do great things if given a chance.
