Second-year Seattle Seahawks tight end Elijah Arroyo has a shoulder injury, ESPN NFL reporter Jeremy Fowler reported Monday on social media.

O-line regression a key part of Seahawks’ offensive woes

Fowler added that Arroyo is “most likely” going to be placed on injured reserve, ruling him out for at least the next four games.

Arroyo suffered the injury in the Seahawks’ 17-14 overtime loss to the Denver Broncos last Thursday.

The news on Arroyo came just over an hour after Fowler reported that Seattle is signing tight end Josiah Deguara to the practice squad. Deguara, 29, was a third-round NFL Draft pick in 2020 by the Green Bay Packers out Cincinnati, and has played 78 career games over seven NFL seasons with the Packers, Jacksonville Jaguars, Arizona Cardinals and Philadelphia Eagles.

Arroyo was selected 50th overall in the second round of the 2025 draft by Seattle out of Miami. He made 15 catches on 26 targets for 179 yards and a touchdown in 13 games as a rookie last season, and has one catch on two targets for 17 yards in six games this season.

The 23-year-old Arroyo missed the final four games of the regular season and two playoff games last season with a knee strain before returning for Seattle’s Super Bowl win over the New England Patriots.

The Seahawks (3-3) continue play on Oct. 25 in a Sunday Night Football matchup with the Kansas City Chiefs (5-0) in Seattle.
