Rookie Germain Ifedi – projected as the starting right guard – is out for the Seattle Seahawks’ Week 1 season-opener against Miami.

Ifedi suffered an ankle injury during Wednesday’s practice. He was listed as questionable Friday.

Seattle did not announce who will replace Ifedi as the starting right guard. J’Marcus Webb is one consideration. It’s also possible that Seattle could insert Joey Hunt at center and move Justin Britt to right guard.

Four of the Seahawks’ seven inactive players are rookies: Ifedi, TE Nick Vannett (ankle), RB Alex Collins and OL Rees Odhiambo. Two others were acquired in the past eight days: LB Dewey McDonald and DT Garrison Smith. The final inactive player for Seattle is Tharold Simon, the fourth-year cornerback.

The Dolphins will not have center Mike Pouncey nor running back Jay Ajayi available as both are inactive. Quarterback Brandon Doughty, WR DeVante Parker, RB Isaiah Pead, G Dallas Thomas and DE Terrence Fede are also inactive.
