Report: Richard Sherman skipping Seahawks voluntary workouts

Richard Sherman won’t be joining the Seahawks’ voluntary conditioning workouts Tuesday and won’t report to the team until sometime next month, according to Monday Morning Quarterback’s Albert Breer.

Breer cited an unnamed source in a tweet Tuesday morning that Sherman plans to report to the Seahawks in early or mid-May, before Organized Team Activities.

Sherman’s public back and forth with management over the past few weeks has been well-documented, with Seahawks brass speaking with unusual public candor about trading Sherman, apparently because the All-Pro cornerback has asked to be moved.

On its face, Sherman’s absence is not a big deal, as a handful of other Seahawks are not expected to attend, including defensive linemen Michael Bennett and Cliff Avril. However, Sherman usually attends this workout and is the only one reported to be having issues with management.
