LB Bruce Irvin active for Seahawks in matchup with Lions
Seattle linebacker Bruce Irvin is active vs. Detroit, answering a question that popped up when he twisted his ankle in practice and was listed as questionable.
The Seahawks will be without running back Marshawn Lynch and defensive tackle Brandon Mebane in Monday’s game against Detroit.
But you already knew that.
However, linebacker Bruce Irvin is active, answering a question that popped up when he twisted his ankle in practice. Irvin was listed as questionable by the team.
Lynch and Mebane were declared out on Sunday and were inactive as expected. Lynch has a sore hamstring, Mebane an injured groin. Cornerback Tharold Simon (toe) and safety Steven Terrell (hip) are also out.
Linebacker Kevin Pierre-Louis (hamstring) is out, which makes Irvin’s availability even more important. Defensive lineman Demarcus Dobbs (shoulder) is inactive as is rookie offensive lineman Kristjan Sokoli.
For the Lions, running back Joique Bell (ankle) and linebacker DeAndre Levy (hip) are starters who were declared inactive. Other Detroit inactives: DE Phillip Hunt, T Corey Robinson, G Larry Warford, TE Brandon Pettigrew and DT Jermelle Cudjo.
