Seattle Seahawks offensive coordinator Klint Kubiak has been a popular candidate for open NFL head-coaching jobs, and now Mike Macdonald’s former team is reportedly interested.

NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero reported Wednesday that the Baltimore Ravens have requested to interview the 38-year-old Kubiak, becoming the fifth of seven teams with vacancies at head coach to be linked to Kubiak. The offensive play-caller has also reportedly received interview requests from the Arizona Cardinals, Atlanta Falcons, Las Vegas Raiders and New York Giants.
In addition to the news about the Ravens’ request, NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reported Kubiak is set to interview with Raiders on Friday. Rapoport said Friday and Saturday appear to be when he will also interview with the Cardinals, Falcons and Giants.
Kubiak is eligible to participate in virtual interviews this week since the Seahawks earned a first-round bye in the playoffs.
The job in Baltimore opened up Tuesday when the Ravens parted ways with longtime head coach John Harbaugh after 18 seasons, which included winning Super Bowl XLVII in 2013. Baltimore finished 8-9 this season and was eliminated from playoff contention in a de facto AFC North title game against the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 18.
Macdonald, who took over as Seahawks head coach last season, spent nine seasons working under Harbaugh in Baltimore over two separate stints, including a tenure as defensive coordinator in 2022 and 2023 before joining Seattle.
Under Kubiak, the Seahawks ranked third in the league in scoring (28.4 points per game) and tied for seventh in yards (351.4 per game) this season.
Kubiak is one of two Seahawks coordinators receiving interest as a head coach. The Cleveland Browns on Tuesday reportedly requested to interview defensive coordinator Aden Durde.
