With reigning MLB home run leader Cal Raleigh mired in an 0-for-29 slump, the Seattle Mariners shuffled their lineup for Sunday’s series rubber match against the Chicago White Sox.

The Mariners moved Raleigh two spots back in the order from his usual No. 2 spot to the cleanup spot. It’ll mark the first time this season he hasn’t batted second.

With Raleigh moving back, Julio Rodríguez and Josh Naylor each moved up a spot. Rodríguez will bat second and Naylor will bat third.

After his historic 60-homer campaign last season, Raleigh is batting just .164 with seven homers, four doubles and a .580 OPS through 37 games this year.

Raleigh missed three games from May 2-4 due to a side issue. He returned as Seattle’s designated hitter this past Tuesday and Wednesday. Then after an off day Thursday, he played catcher in Friday’s series opener against Chicago before taking another DH day on Saturday.

Raleigh is starting behind the plate on Sunday.

Meanwhile, third baseman Brendan Donovan is back in the lineup and batting leadoff after an off day Saturday as the Mariners ease him back into action. He returned to the lineup Friday after a nearly three-week stint on the injured list with a left groin muscle strain.

The Mariners are facing White Sox right-hander Davis Martin, who ranks second in the majors with a 1.64 ERA through his first seven starts. The 29-year-old has allowed just three runs in 26 innings over his past four outings.
