The Seattle Mariners announced their regular-season schedule for the 2027 campaign on Thursday.

The M’s will once again start their season at home, opening with a three-game series against the Boston Red Sox that begins Thursday, March 25. It’s the fifth straight season T-Mobile Park has hosted a game on opening day.

An outside-the-box trade idea for the Seattle Mariners

Seattle will also play 16 of its first 22 games at home with series against Boston, the Texas Rangers, Colorado Rockies, Chicago White Sox and Houston Astros all happening at T-Mobile Park in the season’s first four weeks.

The club’s first road trip will be a trip north of the border for three games against the Toronto Blue Jays starting April 2, which is followed by a three-game set in Cleveland.

The Mariners will host eight National League teams in interleague play: the Colorado Rockies (April 9-11), Los Angeles Dodgers (May 3-5), Pittsburgh Pirates (May 14-16), Washington Nationals (June 4-6), St. Louis Cardinals (June 7-9), Miami Marlins (June 21-23), San Diego Padres (July 6-8) and Milwaukee Brewers (July 27-29).

They face the NL’s San Francisco Giants, Chicago Cubs, Arizona Diamondbacks, Cincinnati Reds, Philadelphia Phillies, San Diego Padres Atlanta Braves  and New York Mets on the road.

The Mariners have a six-game home stand against the Padres and Kansas City Royals leading up to the All-Star break, marking the first time the club has had a home stand directly before the break since 2021. After the All-Star Game, which is schedule for July 13 at Wrigley Field in Chicago, the club hits the road to face those same teams with three games at San Diego and three at Kansas City.

Seattle’s annual home series against the New York Yankees is set for July 23-25.

Ten of the Mariners’ final 13 games are against American League West opponents, including the final series of the season at the Athletics from Sept. 24-26. The club’s final home stand is Sept. 13-19, featuring four games against the Texas Rangers followed by three against the Toronto Blue Jays.

Start times for games have yet to be announced.

Status of 2027 season in doubt

MLB’s unveiling of the 2027 schedule comes while the league is staring down a potential lockout. The league’s collective bargaining agreement with the MLB Players Association expires Dec. 1 and both sides have remained far apart on key issues like a potential salary cap, service time rules and the league-minimum salary.

In 2022, a labor agreement wasn’t reached until March 10, causing opening day to be pushed back from March 31 to April 7.
